We are having trouble with trimming both top and bottom threads. We did a search and found enough replies to get us going. We are still trying to get the "Push rod" tweaked to stay in the hole. But using the search feature was much faster than posting a new question and waiting for replies. We were able to take all the info and put it together to correct our machine.
Thanks for all the replies and help from this board.

Assuming you are running an XT(s), I would do a "detect trimmer" function. After that, I would send all of the functions home, after testing each one. Refer to "help" if you need to, or give us more data & ask us more questions. Afterthought- might want to check the tail-lenght on the bobbin- look under "settings".

Just to clarify.
The "tail Length" setting only affects the upper thread. Bobbin tail length is not udjustable.

And, hey, you can adjust under thread trim lenght to some extent by adjusting bobbin tension- can't you? Too often I have had trainees want to tighten the bobbin tension WAY too tight. Gone- I promise- Goodnight, my friends.

I would have to jump into this one and say no to the adjusting bobbin tension ---trim length statement....

I understand what you may be driving at but we are talking Amaya technology. Bobbin tension vs threadfeed can/will have a definite effect on the Amaya's "auto acti-feed" system. To say that it will change or have an affect on trim length when the top thread is fed by the threadfeed motor and computer technology.....well.....not directly anyway or by creating a given consistant trim lenght.

Loose bobbin tension may create a loose bobbin/thread condition that will allow the trimmer to slide over the top of the bobbin/top thread, partially cutting it and then the grabber breaking it which may look like a long tail or missing the trim altogether....but really auto acti-feed is what would be noticed with false thread breaks or false bobbin breaks.

Older non-Amaya technoloy with all the tension knobs might have a greater chance for trim length changing from bobbin tension, but even then loose bobbin/tight bobbin tension still gives you problems not associated with a regulated trim length of the top thread....

Yes we did,We replaced the knife and had to tweak the push rod a little. It was coming out of the small hole in the knife holder.Seems to be OK now. Thanks for the replies
