  • Amaya xts won't fully turn on

I just purchased a slightly used Amaya Xts. I set it all up with the ethernet hub, forced download checked and all that good stuff. When I turn it on, I get a humming noise, but no lights or movement, and needle number one is stuck down.

It was giving me no ethernet connection error but I changed the setting to run my Windows 7 as XP, which is how I have my ENS and EMT-10T-F1's set up fine. Now I don't get that message any more but it's not connecting to my computer. I've read discussions all night and I can't figure it out.

The Emergency button is not pushed.

When I go to configure machines, there are none that show up.

    Any suggestions??

Best guess is that you probably do not have any adapters showing up ....

Close the AOS screen out...shut off the machine...starting from scratch, open the AOS to a grey screen, do not turn on the machine. Go into Tools, Options , Ethernet and see if any adapters are showing in the display box.

If there are some present, it may be that the wrong one is selected. If there is nothing showing in the display box, you will need to find the network adapters and activate them for the machine to communicate properly to the computer.

Rod, I see an ethernet adapter, I highlight it, I click on force download, I power on the Amaya, I get a fan running, but no light on the keypad, but if I remove the lower black cover and lift up the silver metal cover over the motherboard I see some green lights, mostly down the center. I have Designshop v9 Pro with Amaya OS9 installed, but, I don't have an Amaya ACPS or AOS dongle.

Do I need an ACPS or AOS dongle and if I get one will it force download the Amaya OS9 from my PC or do I also need another CD/DVD with Amaya software too?

You should have a AOS dongle to run the XTS as it needs an operating system to function. I assume that if you have the Design Shop Ver 9 installed, it works? Did you get a dongle with the Design Shop?

Rod, I have Design Shop Pro V9 installed and I have the Amaya OS9 on my PC and I have my Design Shop Pro V9 dongle installed in my PC, however I do NOT have an AOS or ACPS dongle. When I launch the Amaya OS9 software on the PC it comes up as Amaya Lite and I go to tools, options, select my ethernet adapter, check force download but when I turn on the Amaya it doesn't download any software to the Amaya, I don't get a light on the Amaya keypad and it doesn't initialize. Do I also need an Amaya Flex+ or SE dongle? I had thought that my Design Shop Pro V9 software and dongle were enough to make the Amaya XTS work?

XTS will sometimes work on Lite, but usually not very well. It would be much better if you had an AOS dongle to run the softwere with. If you are going to purchase one from Melco and if you are possibly planning on adding ( net working ) another Amaya, I would advise getting the Flex Plus program.

You probably need to contact a service ( purchasing ) rep at Melco and inquire about purchasing the Operating system ( AOS ) to maximize the machines efficiency.
