This is a great forum, I learn lots here.
I have an XT, purchased 2007 directly from Melco.
Mostly I use pes. format and the DSPP automatically converts to ofm. That works fine. As I try to use a Dakota design that I take from the collection disk in ofm, I send to the DSPP. It shows up fine, with however many stitches shown in the description.
When I send the design to machine (after saving), there is a major reduction in # of stitches (e.g. 55,000 stitches transfers 34,000) with sort of a sketch of the design.
I am a retiree, hobbyist, old 4-H kid, and not a professional. I am a bit of a computer geek. I have no idea if there is any missing step I am not doing. In order to make the design, I must go and reload in pes or other format, then to DSPP, and then the correct # of stitches transfers. Then I have to load the color sequence from the ofm design to the new design as the makers of designs
use different colors.
