  • Boards Were Broke - Now Fixed...

I did some upgrade work on the server yesterday and apparently, the software we use on the boards wasn't compatibile and that upgrading broke things.

It's been resolved now and we can go on with life and the problems facing our Amayas!

Thanks to Linda for brining it to my attention.

I was getting desperate, I had a posted a question on Wednesday and I could tell there was a response but couldn't get the page to load. I had tried to send an email from the contact us on the site but wasn't sure it worked, then I remembered looking at your website, time did the google search and went there. So glad you got it fixed. I look at the boards every night, just like reading the evening paper. I love the wealth of information from everyone.

I actually got an email coming form this message board that had some "weird" links, was I the only one getting those?

I got one also. Subject line was, My Husband Likes to Watch Lesbian Sex. I shut down my internet connection then deleted it clear out of the computer. Don't know if that did any good or not but that is the course I took.

              Guys -

This is a public website. Anyone can post here as long as they verify their email. So, occasionally, deadbeats post things like that which get echoed to the list. All I can do is ban the user and delete the post, which is what I did in this case.

Just part of the fun internet world we live in.

John, if you add catchpa on the signup page, this will keep the bots from auto-posting.

The software we use here doesn't have it - we don't have problems with bots. In fact, it's probably becasue the system we use here isn't widely used that it keeps that away, because not many are exploting it. It's a real person signing up. On my other disney site INTERCOT.com, we have plenty of fake signups and we have recaptcha running.

Whatever fence you put up, the bad guys find a way to hop over.

UBB.T7 has a built in captcha; you won't need recaptcha to use it; simply enable it in the forum settings.
Time to upgrade from 6 to 7???

                        That's threads... This is classic.

Like I said, we get far less spam than any other discussion board I run.

All that I know at this point is:
"This Husband Likes To Watch The Saints Win The Super Bowl!"

I'm still on my "football high"!

Seriously, John, thanks for managing this forum. I'm just like Linda - try to read everyday.
Without it, We'd all be forced to go to the other networking site.....
