  • Machine not booting up.

Thought I had seen this on here before,

Turned on an Amaya this morning and no boot.
the green light on the key pad is flashing.
checked the E stop and it is not engaged. it is pulled out.

Tried to hold the Start (green button) in to see if it is in sleep/ Stand by mode, nothing.

    Any thoughts?

Needless to say I will not get melco today..
    Harold can I call you?

Ok Hoping some tech can still help
as I have ruled some things out.
Had Al Scherping Amaya tech out and had him look at my machine.
I know it is NOT the Motherboard (replaced ) no change
We (Al & I ) Could not get it to respond,
He took it to his home and was able to get it to respond at least we thought.
I went and picked it up and discovered that it is not booting completely.
before it would only click twice then stop the clicking from the control box.
and every one I talked to said it was more then likely the mother board or Z motor. Most likely the motherboard.
Well I overnighted the motherboard and Nope no change,
Al took it and now I know it is not the Motors X,Y or Z as now they all register as they would in a normal boot.
      color change motor functions
      thread feed motor functions fine
the only one I don't know about is the cutter motors.
I have disconnected them and booted and nothing new.

      ANY thoughts????

after frustrating two techs, I am back up and running
replaced several connectors and inspecting every wire,
rebooting both computer & machine for the 1000000000000 time
I am back up and running....

A similar thing happened to my XT this summer. I honestly can't remember what the final decision was about the root cause. It seems that my tech was not getting good diagnostic information from the system. The mother board was replaced twice, and the x and y motors were both replaced. Vince Putnam is my tech and he may have better details to share if Al wants to call him.
