  • Satin stitch question

    1.jpg

We just got our machine and I'm learning the program.

Hoping someone can help me figure this out.

I am trying to get the satin stitches to look like the picture attached.

To digitize columns like these, you need to use the Column 1 tool.

Tried that and found it difficult and time consuming.
Is there a way for the program to auto digitize to get this result?

I wish there were! You'll get the hang of it with experience and be able to do it quickly. Some folks just don't have the time to learn so they have a pro do it. You may be making the same mistake that I made in the beginning by digitizing far more points than you need. Depending on the size and the arc of the curve, you should be able to use just 3 or 4 sets of Col 1 points to achieve one of these curves. Practice, practice, practice. Have you gone through the tutorials that come with DS?

Yes, I have been through the tutorials.
I cannot believe that this program can't do this.
            Totally shocked!
The above was created with a 10 year old version of Corel Drawings in seconds. Like the first version.
Now, I have to physically trace each item that I want this type of satin stitch on?
When I bought this, I was told that Melco was state of the art in digitizing.
            Not so much.
            Very disappointed.
