Laser Alignment

I'm trying to get the laser to align as described in the video with no luck.

When aligning the left laser point, the video states to push the laser button and the left arrow button and the machine will beep. I get no beep, nothing.

The operating system is Amaya OS SE Version 10.00.051

Surely I'm missing something.

you move to your first reference point using the hoop & arrow key combination.
on the right
then press the laser & the left arrow key together
then move to the next position on the left
and press the laser & left arrow together again
Then press the laser & the center key and your design will center between the two points you just plotted.

That didn't work. It moves the image to the right as it should.
Then to the left. When pushing the laser and left arrow key, I don't get a beep.
When pushing the laser and the center key, it doesn't move back to the center.

Could there be something in the OS that I need to check?
I've looked but could not find anything that would activate this function.
