    Rayon thread vs Polyneon thread.
Looking for your thoughts as to what is best to use for most jobs.

IMO, Poly. Runs stronger, has longer shelf life.

My Amaya XT does not like rayon, but loves poly. Judy is right, poly is stronger and shelf life is long, also is bleachable on garment with minimal fade. I got rid of all my rayon, too frustrating to deal with many thread breaks. My technician recommended I use only poly, and for me it was an excellent recommendation..

We use rayon and metallic almost exclusively because most of what we do has to be of heirloom quality. The poly colors, while they are more durable, tend to be harsher; rayon has a softer "glow" that mimics silk. Soooo, the answer depends on what you are trying to achieve.

We run Floriani Poly thread almost exclusively. It is sold by RNK Distributing. I have almost no thread breaks when using this thread. I have sold it to uniform buyers that have washed their garments over 100 times and it is still bright.

I know this wasn't exactly your question but I feel so strongly about this I thought I would put my two cents in.
