I just purchased an used machine Amaya xts (2010) from an individual. I used the machine there and it worked fine. I get it home load up the software start to sew and in the middle of the design it stops. The needle is up, not down, each time so I don't think it is the motor. I have been able to sew a couple of names with out it stopping but sometimes it dose stop. On the computer the screen goes to grey then back to a blank hoop and sometimes it pops up Melco warning something about can't load design. On the side it says Melco idle.
So I am thinking is it my computer (I have windows 7) is it a compatability problem. The software is 10.00.001. I don't really want to pay $50.00 to Melco technical support if I don't have to as I just paid a lot for this machine. Please help.
