  • Stabilizer when applying patch to cap?

    Hi all,
I just spent all day yesterday manufacturing 50 patches. Now, I'm supposed to apply them to a bunch of caps. My boss thinks I don't need to use any stabilizer when hooping the caps for this process. I guess she is wanting to save on material costs. I think that sounds risky; I think I need to use the normal tearaway hat backing. ? Any answer will be helpful; I'm supposed to have these done within the next couple days!

If you are just sewing them on a with a running stitch, you wouldn't need to use stabilizer. If they are going on with a column, it's 50-50, but probably not (IMHO) as long as it is a structured cap. If it is unstructured, you need stabilizer for any of the above.
