• Adding Mighty Hoop to hoop list

I have just ordered the 11x13 Mighty Hoop. Has someone else done the customization of the hoop list and would share those details with me, so that I can add it to my list without having to do all of the measurements? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bill

Bill, I also ordered the 11x13 Mighty Hoop. Have you found out how to add this hoop to the hoop list?

I don't know the parameters for the exact hoop you two are talking about, but I do know how to set up a "custom" hoop so you can select it from the list. Go under tools>hoop setup>add hoop>next, name the hoop (I guess I would call this one MH11x13 for example)>click ok>select what type (circle, square, rectangle)>set X & Y parameters (this is the part you'll have to get the information on)>click apply, and then ok. Now you can select this hoop from the hoop list on the right above the color sequence box in OS. Hope this helps folks.

I was trying to "take a shortcut." I hoped someone else had done all the hard work and I could simply copy what he has done. So far, I have not done anything, am just tracing before using.

Thanks Gregory and Bill. Your info on the Mighty Hoop custom set up worked great. Retracing works fine.

Thanks.

Hi All,

For those who haven't set up their Mighty Hoops in Amaya OS Hoop Setup, here are the 28 X,Y Custom Point Pairs I calculated for the 5.5 x 5.5, 10 x 10 and 11 x 13 Mighty Hoops that will allow you to have the "maximum" sewing field for each hoop (make sure Enable Hoop Limits is set on!). Each uses the 1" Hoop Thickness and Default Sew Field Margin of 0.575 inches.

5.5 x 5.5 Mighty Hoop, Max Sewing Field 4.3 x 4.3:
Point / X, Y

I added an 11x13 Mighty Hoop to my hoop list on DS9. I just gave it the inner dimension of x=13 and y=11. And then accepted the default sew field. The hoop aligns about an inch to the left and an inch down from center. I have not input all of Ed's dimensions, but I thought that what entered should be good enough (Microsoft thinking). Has anyone else had this problem? Can it be resolved so that I don't have to remember to reset the alignment? Thanks.

Try reversing the numbers? The amount that it is off center makes me think that the measurements are reversed.

Hi, I brought the Mighty Hoops because hooping was becoming very difficult for me. It would either not stay (because item was too thick) or not centered correctly. So, I thought the MH would help me with both problems, plus hooping was beginning to hurt my hands. I brought the 5X5 and the 11X13. Will be getting the 10X10 next. I haven't added them to my machine yet so all of the information here is quite useful. The other thing is I don't have an Amaya...I have a Melco EMT-10. Gregory..I really don't understand all the information that you had put in an earlier post. If you could explain it I would really appreciate it. I am hoping that you would also be able to tell me how to add it to my EMT-10. Has anyone used them yet...I'm dying to use them. Thanks.

In my excitement that there was information about the Mighty Hoop being posted on the boards that I didn't even notice the separation between Ed "Kanga" Roux post and GCannon's post... Sorry Ed and Gregory for the mix-up. In my previous post I was asking for information about adding the MH to my EMT-10. Ed, the information that you posted is the one that I don't understand ...all those numbers. Could you explain it to me...I am still such a novice..even after 3 years...I'm still learning...and any assistance that you Ed,or Gregory and or anyone else could give me would really be appreciated by me...Thanking everyone in advance....paulscyn
