    What are the tricks to sewing on leather, changing acti-feed, needles, etc....its a smooth sided leather briefcase....

      I set column feed way down (to about 22-24), and I put run/fill feed way up (to about 116-118). Might raise the presser-foot up to 3 clicks (usually just 2, though). Do not make your borders a high density (4.2 is what I recommmend) or the design is liable to be cut out of the leather. I use a standard 75/11 light ball needle and slow the machine down to about 1000 spm.

            Hey, I'm not "the preppy one," but we were trying leather today for the first time and were getting NO WHERE. We have made the changes you suggested above and are moving on. MANY THANKS, GREGORY!!!!!!!
