  • Corel Draw vs. Illustrator

Does anyone have any input on Corel Draw vs. Illustrator for vector based design work? Pros/Cons for each?

I bought Corel Draw because it was cheaper. However, I have found classes offered for Illustrator, but NONE for Corel Draw. I wish I had done more research before I bought. Just my two cents.

I have used Corel for 12 years. Also have Illustrator but only use it on some stubborn AI files. It really is a matter of personal choice. They both have + and -....
      Go here for Corel tutorials...

You can download a full version of each to try, just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve if you have not used any previous versions.

Also Google Corel Draw on YouTube. There are many, many tutorials from beginner to advanced there. For me, AI is obscure, but I am not an Apple person. In fact, all graphic design programs were obscure before I got some training for Corel from Strawberry Stitch ( I checked, no more training there). My son, who is a total Apple bigot and is also a Graphic Design major and currently working in that field does not like AI.
Corel cannot be installed on Apple, it is only for PC.
