  • How do you split objects for coloring?

The simplest way I can think to explain this is -
Say you have a blue circle. But you want to make half of the circle green and leave the remaining area the original blue. Is there a tool I can use to split the circle into 2 objects so I can apply different colors?

I have design shop pro + but I cant 't figure out how to accomplish this.

I don't have time for a long explanation right now, but have you looked for "split object" in your help menu?

Is this the same as "Color change within element"? If so, I found the article and should be able to figure it out and play around with it. Thanks

Sorry, I have an old version of DS w/o "Color change within element". Mine has a red icon that looks sort of like a square that has been squashed in the center top and bottom to form roughly an "H" shape. This is for splitting an element. It should be listed in your Help menu. After splitting the element, I would add a color change and move the newly created element in the Project Tree to the new color. There may be another way to do this in newer versions, but someone else will have to help with that.

Splice it in half, Break Object.
