What is best product used to make patches STIFF/RIGID and what is the 'plastic' backing on patches? Not looking for 2-sided iron-on backing, just heavy clear 'plastic-like' backing ironed onto patch only.

I use Iron-on Vinyl, which I purchase at JoAnns. And as I am a seamstress, I despise rigid patches -- a bear to pin on. I use heavy fabric to start, stabilizer (two layers), and iron-on vinyl. My curstomers seem happy. -
Iron-on vinyl....exactly what I was thinking. Is that what it is called? Is there a more 'technical' name for it at Joanne? I use 3.0 stabilizers from Madeira in black and white. Still would like a heavier stabilizer. Had a real nice one in black once but can't find it anymore. Thanks so much for your reply Judy!Comment
